Mrs. Alicia Conerly, Ed.S.

Greetings!!!!  

Thanks for visiting my page! I previously worked in the capacity as Monticello Elementary School’s Assistant Principal. What a joyous experience it was. Now, I am just as excited to serve as the Principal. I have been an educator for 12 years. I have served as an elementary, middle school, and high school teacher. I spent two years transitioning from a teacher into a leadership role by serving as a Science Curriculum Specialist and Instructional Coach.

 

My Educational background includes the following: 

2016 STEM Certification, Mississippi College

2014 Specialist of Educational Leadership, Arkansas State University

2011 Master of Education in the Art of Teaching, William Carey University

2008 Bachelor of Science Degree in Cytotechnology, University of Mississippi Medical Center

 

  As I serve in the capacity of Principal my roles and responsibilities include the following: 

Leadership, coordination, supervision and management of MES's day-to-day programs and operations

Implementing and Overseeing with fidelity the instructional goals set forth by the Superintendent & local School Board

Working to establish and maintain good communication with the communities I serve

Maintaining a safe and orderly climate where our Crisis Management Plan is rehearsed on a regular basis

Following all financial & accounting plans as set forth by State Law & School Board Policies

Following all standards set forth by the Mississippi Educator Code of Ethics & Standards of Conduct

Following all Guidelines set forth by the Mississippi Department of Education’s K-3 $150,000 Literacy Grant

Fostering relationships with each scholar, his/her parent/guardian, and each staff member

Advocating on the behalf of all scholars and staff under my leadership

I am looking forward to continuing my leadership as Principal with the same tenacity and zeal that I had have over the last two years because I am loved and supported by an awesome staff and scholars!
